"Prosecute Presiding Officers Who Failed To Sign Pink Sheets" - Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called for the prosecution of all the 905 presiding officers who failed to sign their respective pink sheets in the 2012 general elections.
He stated that such a move would help prevent such a phenomenon from recurring in the 2016 elections.

Court orders arrest of ex-Miss Malaika Queen for stealing!

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of miss Hamamat Montia, 2006 winner of the Miss Malaika Pageant. The story is that Miss Montia stole a 2008 model Toyota Highlander belonging to her ex Finnish boyfriend. The boyfriend, identified only as Keskinen, bought the car for $35,000, paid in full and left the vehicle together with the documents in the hands of the car dealership, De-Gyando Company Ltd. The matter was therefore reported to the authorities who after investigations sent the case to court. For not showing up in court on the day the case was called, the court has ordered her immediate arrest.

Leila Djansi breaks new grounds- Produces Movie in Hollywood

 
Award wining movie producer Leila Djansi has produced her first hollywood movie ‘And Then There Was You’ which stars Hollywood names like Garcelle Beauvais, Lynn Whitfield, Brian White and Greg Vaughan.
The Ghanaian director of international repute has today announced that the film will start showing at the Silverbird cinemas in Ghana on December 13.

“Don’t miss the opening of And There Was You at Silverbird Cinemas on Friday. You can’t afford to miss the thrill,” she added.

‘And Then There Was You’ is a Turning Point Pictures production in association with OHTV, headed by Akin Salami and Michael Djaba.

Hollywood actress Garcelle Beauvais stars in the film as a teacher and has to stitch up the pieces of her life after her husband leaves. When she falls for a new man, she discovers he, too, has relationship-ending secrets.

Also in the film are Lynn Whitfield, Greg Vaughan, Leon Robinson, Kate Nauta, Brian White and Trilby Glover.

Leila Djansi wrote the script while Suzanne Patrick, Ryan Daly and Tim Taylor are producers of the movie and Dave Harper is the executive producer.

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke and Nigerian born American actress Ebbe Bassey also acted in it.

Production wrapped up in June in Los Angeles this year and underwent six months of pre-production.
